The Governor Met the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury .Bin Humam Stressed the Importance of Directing Help to Revive the Economic Activities in Yemen
Mr. Mohammed Bin Humam, governor of CBY, met the delegation of the assistant secretary of the U.S. treasury . The governor discussed economic and financial developments that took place in Yemen during the last two years and the effects of the political crisis on the economic indicators of the country. He stressed the importance of external help as part of the results of Yemen's group of friends meetings that have been held recently in Riyadh and the expected outcomes of donors meeting at the end of this month.
Governor stressed the importance of directing aid to revive the economic activities in Yemen through focusing on large scale projects that affect the overall economic conditions like electricity and strategic roads projects which would help the government to overcome the effects of the crisis.
The assistant secretary of the U.S. treasury assured donors interest in supporting Yemen to overcome the crisis specially with regard to directing help to improve projects and economic activities in Yemen.
Mr. Ibrahim Alnahari, deputy governor of CBY, and Gerald Virestein, the American ambassador in Sana'a, attended the meeting.
